This week, we begin a new sermon series based on Bill Hybels’ book, Just Walk Across the Room. At its heart, this series is about embracing the simple yet profound act of stepping out of our comfort zones to connect with others. It’s a call to live out the love of Jesus in practical ways—by noticing, listening, and responding to the Holy Spirit’s nudges to engage with those around us.

In today’s fast-paced and often disconnected world, it’s easy to miss opportunities to share God’s grace and truth. Yet, as followers of Christ, we are called to be His hands and feet, extending His love to everyone we encounter. This series will challenge us to rethink how we view evangelism—not as a daunting or scripted task, but as a natural overflow of our relationship with God and our care for others.

Each week, we will explore key principles from Just Walk Across the Room that equip us to live out our faith with boldness and authenticity. We’ll explore how to build meaningful relationships, share our stories, and trust God to work through even the smallest steps of faith. Whether it’s striking up a conversation, offering a helping hand, or simply being present in someone’s life, these moments can have eternal significance.

As we journey together through this series, let’s pray for open hearts and a willingness to take those steps—to walk across the room, across the street, or across the world to share the hope we have in Christ. May this series inspire us to live out the Great Commission with joy and purpose, trusting that God will use our obedience to transform lives for His glory.
